Knights Valley, Sonoma County, California
The Newman Family has been farming and ranching in the Knights Valley since 1962 when Peter and Judy Newman made the first of several land acquisitions in the valley’s west end. Through several generations the Newman Family's agricultural interests have grown to include; interests in corn and soybean farms in Illinois, vineyard interests in Lodi, CA, early horned Hereford operations evolved to the current grass fed black angus herd, the first phase of wine grapes developed on the Knights Valley property in 1982 has evolved through several redevelopment phases including the 2017 redevelopment of approximately 30 acres of the oldest vines. Today the Family's Knights Valley operation raises an annual crop of grass fed Angus beef and farms approximately 80 acres of premium wine grapes.
